Mid Facelift

Middle Facelift
As the name goes, the Middle facelift focuses on the central part of the face specifically the checks and mouth. It does the reverse part of the lower facelift. In middle facelift it repositions fat in the cheeks that has slipped while the lower facelift removes the fat. Middle facelift is effective in removing deep set wrinkle around the mouth and below the nose.

In doing the middle facelift, an endoscopic approach is the most preferred technique used by plastic surgeon. They make two small incisions in the hairline and use small cameras to guide the surgery without lifting the skin away from the muscle. The surgeon inserts the camera and working downwards towards the mouth lift the tissue inside the cheeks. The fats are pulled upwards and make small incision inside the mouth. By doing that your skin will look rounder and wrinkles will look smoother. It also help improves the bags under your eyes making it more unnoticeable.

Not all patients are suitable for all middle facelift and endoscopy. Facelift surgery with incisions made above the ear and in the lower eyelid surgery. Middle facelift is often combined with eyelid lift surgery or what so called blepharoplasty to show more amazing results.

Risks of Eyelid Surgery

Just like the other surgery, eyelid lift surgery, lower eyelid surgery has also risks associated with it. Eyelid lift surgery is however safer and simpler cosmetic procedures for the face. The following are some common risks of eyelid lift surgery.

1. Insufficient Fat Removal
If the doctor won’t remove the exact or enough fats then it can cause asymmetry results. Further surgery can correct insufficient fat removal.

2. Excessively “Feminized” Eyelid
This cause when the upper crease is placed too high the eyelid can overly round and appear inconsistent with the rest of the face.

3. Dry eye syndrome
This is temporary. Your eyes maybe dry because of the surgery.

4. Eyeball Swelling
During the surgery fluids are collected on the eye surface that can cause swelling but will subsides within a week or more after the surgery.

5. Altered vision
Reduced vision may cause from swelling and excess tearing. Some patients might experience double visions due to muscles in the eyeball that were altered.

6. Blindness
Blindness from eyelid lift surgery is extremely rare.
Others might experience side effects due to local anesthesia such as headache, nausea, or dreariness. Sometimes when general anesthesia is used, others might experience risks an allergic reaction or high blood pressure, though this is extremely rare.

Incisions for Breast Augmentation
Just like the common operations, breast augmentation and breast implant also need incisions. In the operation it usually takes about 1-2 hours. Most undergo local anesthesia while others go for the general anesthesia but that depends on the surgeon’s decision.
In breast augmentation and breast implant there are four types of incisions.

1.Inframammary Augmentation

2.Periareolar Augmentation

3.Transaxillary or Axillary Augmentation

4.Transumbilical

Wet Liposuction

There are two different liposuction technique but let’s focus first in wet solution technique. The following are under wet solution technique.

  • Wet Liposuction

The wet solution used in this technique has smaller volume than the amount of fat in the body. It requires general anesthetic and results in significant amount of blood loss. The blood loss is about one quarter.

  • Super Wet Liposuction

In this technique, surgeon applies great amount of fluids that matches the amount of fat being removed. The volume is about 1 to 1 ration which reduces the amount of blood suctioned from the body. It is used for high level fat removal.

  • Tumescent Liposuction

In this technique, surgeon injects high volume solution that will swell the fat cells. Your surgeon will make one or more small incisions that allow small cannulas to be used and the fat will suctioned at slower pace.
